Fame Hotel Sunset Road Kuta

The room floor was shockingly dirty. I was travelling with my four-year-old, so I wiped it with wet tissues for hygiene and could see it hadn’t been properly cleaned. That was on top of an upsetting front desk incident during my March 1, 2026 stay at Fame Hotel Sunset Road Bali. I’d asked housekeeping not to clean my room, then went to reception for two replacement towels and the usual two bottles of mineral water. Ardi said housekeeping was closed and I’d have to wait until 8:00 AM the next morning. When I asked politely if he could get towels from the laundry room, he said he didn’t know where it was. I later learned it’s across from the staff locker area, so his answer seemed hard to believe and gave me the impression he just didn’t want to help. He said he had only just started working there, though he also claimed to be a Front Office leader. When I mentioned I might complain on Google Review, TripAdvisor, and Traveloka, Ardi replied, “Oh, it’s okay, I will be the one replying to the complaint.” That struck me as unprofessional and not what I’d expect from someone in a leadership role. I left feeling very disappointed, and hope the top management takes a close look at staff performance and professionalism so service improves for future guests.

I’ve stayed here several times and it remains a good choice. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly, and there’s a great breakfast selection.

Really nice stay. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful, and I’d come back on my next visit.

The staff were pleasant, but the water was a real concern. Both the tap and shower ran brown, so it was hard to feel clean or safe using them. I hope they sort it out, but I wouldn’t stay again until the water is fixed.
