For what it costs, the place was about what I expected, and the downtown Kuta location is handy for nightlife. The staff were lovely and welcomed us with a drink. We did find small bugs on the bed and floor when we entered the room, but they replaced the bedding as soon as we reported it. The bathroom was pretty gross.

The landlady is really sweet, and the location puts shops, restaurants, the beach, and Sky Garden close by. The place is cheap, so you get what you pay for. It could use renovation, and the wifi barely worked.

We found a hotel nearby rated almost 4 stars for the same price, so we left without spending a night at Bimasena. The hosts weren't accommodating. The hostel itself was awful, dirty rooms and things falling apart, and neither the room nor the shower felt pleasant. I wouldn't stay here.

A nice place to stay. Finding it: about 100m past the hotel "the one," take the little street on the left along legian, roughly 200m before the monument. Look for a small green name sign on the left side of the road.

Good value for a budget hostel, with a small pool and a good location. The owner was kind, helpful, and ready to assist at any time. The hospitality made the price feel well worth it.
