The place was nice and the location worked well, though the rooms seemed suited to just a day or two. A kitchen is available for making tea, coffee, or cooking, and there’s a refrigerator, but the hotel items inside gave it a slightly odd smell. The staff were okay, though not very understanding or helpful. The bathroom tap kept leaking, towels were very old, and the bed didn’t have a proper blanket with its sheet. The room and bathroom should be cleaned every day.

The hotel is clean and not expensive, but there were several issues. There was no soap in the room, the pillows were hard, and the AC was odd with a preset time limit, though that can be changed. I asked about laundry and was quoted a price, then the next day he brought it back and wanted five times as much. We negotiated a lower amount, but my clothes had been damaged by the colors running. I discussed getting a refund. For me, it’s three out of five.

The location is great, the room was okay though not the cleanest, and the staff were friendly. They weren’t often downstairs at reception, but were reachable. My stay still wasn’t pleasant: I waited until 3:30pm, an hour and a half late, because the room wasn’t ready. The shower head and bidet were malfunctioning, and asking staff to fix them didn’t help. I moved out because it wasn’t worth spending more time, energy, or money there.

The room felt really damp, so I’d suggest having a portable fan in there. Otherwise, this guest house is clean and nicely designed, with two friendly, helpful reception guys. It’s down a narrow alley by the Circle K, and restaurants and a grocery store are an easy walk away. Good value, and I’d stay again for the staff.

Glad I stayed here for a day. The bed was comfortable, the price was cheap, the staff were friendly, and the owner was generous. Recommended for backpacking in Bali, guys!
