Mesari Beach Hut PRASADA

The staff were so friendly, and they let us check out late without an extra charge. We really appreciated that, especially with our daughter sick. We'd happily stay again. Our hut was clean, bright and lovely, with comfy mattresses and enough basic kitchen things to make a small meal. The air conditioning in hut 6 was freezing, but we managed. There's no restaurant on site, though with so many restaurants and warungs nearby, we didn't need one. The beach is also very close. The garden has lots of concrete, so it doesn't feel typically Balinese, and the grounds could use some maintenance. We were out during the day, so that didn't bother us much. The pool itself was super clean, but the concrete and upper area made it feel uninviting. Four stars because the garden and surrounding area could be more welcoming.

The owner was super nice, and the staff were friendly. It was clean, a great price, and close to the beach, with good bars and restaurants nearby.

As of Oct 2024, when we stayed at “Mesari Hut 7- just 3 minutes to La Plancha” through Booking.com, the place still felt like a construction site. The grounds around the accommodation weren't finished, and there was building equipment, power tools and cords, wood scraps and dust scattered around Hut 7. Banging and other construction noise went on all day. The perimeter fencing was unfinished, run down and unsafe, leaving the property fully open to people coming up from the beach. Horse riders also passed through the vicinity from 7am for paid rides. The wooden hut was loud and had no insulation, so it got unbearably hot. The back was covered in plastic sheeting, and after daily service the aircons were switched off, leaving us to return to a hot room. Ken, the room service lady, was wonderful and helpful, but the tradesmen hanging around the area, including by the pool hut opposite ours, made it uncomfortable to use the pool or move around the property. The ad's claim of a private pool was inaccurate, and the pool bar wasn't operating. The pool itself was not welcoming either. The listing said there were 2 bathrooms, but there was one full bathroom downstairs and only a toilet upstairs, with no basin for handwashing. One morning the power box alarm, located outside the downstairs bedroom, sounded for hours. We raised these problems and got no communication or accountability from the property. I asked for a partial refund because the listing was misleading and was ignored. The owner added a construction notice to Booking.com only after we arrived. They apparently discounted the price because of these problems, but in my view not enough. The accommodation wasn't ready to open. Don't waste your money, stay elsewhere.
