Monostel

The breakfast included with my booking was better than I expected. You could choose how you wanted your eggs, or get 50% off any of the other options. Everything was clean, and the staff were really helpful. They even called my next hostel and asked a question in Indonesian for me. I was in the six-bed mixed dorm, and since the hostel wasn't busy, I had it to myself for part of my stay. The room had AC, and my bed had a reading light and an outlet. At first the AC wasn't cooling much, but staff adjusted it and brought me the remote so I could change it myself. The location worked well for getting around on foot, with the beach, nightlife, and Beachwalk shopping mall all nearby. The downsides were weak Wi-Fi in the rooms and an internet provider that blocks Netflix, so streaming or downloading shows to watch offline wasn't possible.

The staff were kind and very helpful. It's an affordable hostel for backpackers, and a simple breakfast is included.

A handy spot near Sky Garden, with a restaurant on the first floor. Seems like a good pick for backpackers.

Saturday night live music was so good, though it could be a problem if you like going to bed early. The hostel itself is clean and comfortable, and Kuta Beach is just about an 8-minute walk away for sunrise or sunset. I really like this place.
