Nyaman Villas

What I’ll remember most is the people. The staff were warm and genuinely caring, from the managers to housekeeping. They remembered our names and preferences, and our butler sorted scooter rentals and even a last-minute dinner by the pool. They were attentive without hovering, and whenever we needed towels, restaurant suggestions, or help with a surprise celebration, someone handled it quickly and cheerfully. Breakfast arrived when we wanted it, too. The villa itself is beautiful, with open-air living looking out onto tropical gardens and a private infinity pool that seems to meet the skyline. The bedrooms felt calm and spacious, and the design brings Balinese style together with modern comforts. The photos don’t really capture how it feels to arrive, or the view in the morning. From arrival to a tearful goodbye, every detail felt right. It was a deeply relaxing stay, with a level of hospitality that made it more than just a luxury villa. We’re already thinking about coming back. Highly recommended.

The staff were welcoming, attentive, and quick to clean up after a little bat sheltered in the open living area on a couple of nights and left a mess. The villa’s open layout means that can happen, I guess. The pool is large and deep, the bedrooms have good air conditioning, and room service was delicious. There’s no air conditioning in the living space, which opens onto the pool. It’s a great location, just a three minute walk to good coffee and food. The place isn’t the most modern and looks a bit tired in daylight, but once the garden and pool lights are on at night it looks fabulous. We had a really good stay and would come back.

Having the whole villa to ourselves made it feel comfortable and homey. The quality was five-star and better than we expected. An outstanding stay.

The location was tricky for walking when I visited in mid December. It rained constantly, and the path toward the main street had puddles everywhere. The villa is somewhat secluded and not very close to Main Street, so I couldn’t get around on foot like I usually enjoy doing. That may be less of an issue in Bali’s drier months. Inside, though, the villa was amazing and the staff took wonderful care of us. Breakfast each morning was fresh and made with good quality ingredients. Just be aware the tap water is hard, and the bathroom is outdoors, which may not suit you if you don’t want to get rained on.
