I ended up here after another nearby hotel canceled my booking. For the small downstairs room, I was charged IDR 300k. The payment was a frustrating mess. Their EDC machine had a problem, and the cashier didn't know how to use it. The machine kept my card and my bank blocked it, so I couldn't pay that way. They couldn't take online funds either and sent me to a nearby ATM for cash. Luckily, I had another bank card and could withdraw it. There was no soap in the room when I arrived, so I had to ask for it. The shower handle was broken, the toilet flush smelled, and an engine noise, maybe a water pump, was annoying. I could hear the neighbors too. The air conditioner worked well, and two small bottles of water were plenty for one night. I know a cheaper price can mean lower quality, and I hope they learn from this.

There were plenty of problems despite the good room size. The staff were nice and the customer service was good, and the food was okay, but the room and bathroom were very dark. We had to ask for three bulbs because only one light was working, then get the bathroom light replaced as well. Millipedes were crawling across the floor and walls. They made the bed with the same dirty sheets instead of cleaning or changing them. I watched the floor being cleaned and it still looked dirty. The old TV wasn't usable, the sink made strange sounds and overflowed, and its pipe leaked. The AC worked only sometimes, and the wifi was awful. The water boiler was so dirty that I asked the front desk for hot water.

The staff were really friendly, and things were okay apart from that. The photos gave a somewhat misleading impression, and I wouldn't call this a 4 star place. My room was very dark with little natural light, and there was sand in my bed. If you rent a motorbike, check its mileage first. Ours had over 75000k on it and wobbly steering, which felt like a bit of a death trap.

It's close to the beach and has a nice pool, with decent value for the money. The bathroom smelled a little strange, and the WiFi was only strong in rooms near the lobby.

Really bad hotel. The air conditioner barely blew any air and didn't cool the room. The light was too dim, the towel was dirty, and the WiFi was bad.
