The Konkret Lombok

We were really taken with this hotel and would happily return and recommend it. The location works well for exploring nearby beaches by scooter, which the hotel arranged easily, and it's very close to the main avenue with plenty of breakfast, lunch and dinner options. The room, the property's construction and all the finishes were done to a very high standard, with a thoughtful feel throughout. Staff were genuinely warm and personal, and breakfast was very good, better than we expected. For comfort, it feels like the level just below an ultra-luxury beachfront villa, and honestly, you don't need more.

The food was my favorite part, some of the best I've had in Indonesia, maybe in my life. The french fries, nasi goreng, kue pisang and creme brulee were all incredible. The villa was beautiful, spotless and comfortable even with our two young children, including a baby. Everyone at The Konkret was welcoming, kind and helpful, always smiling and ready to lend a hand. If we're back in Lombok, we'll definitely stay again. Thanks to the team for making it so memorable.

Villa #10 is designed for rest. The room has no TV, which I actually prefer, and once the door is shut there's no outside noise or light. It made falling asleep effortless. The private outdoor living space and pool are incredible, with high walls that make it feel completely private. The staff are warm, attentive and genuinely helpful. There aren't many restaurant options on-site, but plenty of good places are nearby, so that wasn't a problem. A big extra for me was access to the best gym I've been to so far on this trip. This place gets privacy, quiet and hospitality right. I'd highly recommend it for a peaceful, wellness-focused stay in Lombok.

Never again. There was a lot of construction noise from day one, as they were building something next to the villas. We raised it at reception and were told there was nothing to be done because it only happened sometimes, not constantly. Nice to hear that from 9 to 5 on holiday. They offered to move us to another villa next to ours, which wouldn't have fixed it. The staff didn't address our complaint, and the stay became really uncomfortable. They seemed not to care. When we spoke to the manager, he walked away mid-conversation and came back 10 minutes later, saying he'd update us. Seven hours later, we had to text him, and he said nothing could be done. We felt he hadn't taken the complaint seriously, and he was rude while ignoring us and arguing. That's not how guests should be treated. We were shocked and surprised. Breakfast service was weak too, with flies around, very few low-quality products, and a 30-minute wait for our main course. There were also insects in the villa: lots of mosquitoes, caterpillars and geckos. It wasn't worth the money. We expected a lot and were so disappointed. They ruined our stay in Kuta Lombok.
