Villa Istimewa

Kutut and the staff looked after us really well. The rooms were cleaned every day, and they sorted whatever we needed, from breakfast and drinks to scooters and taxis. Great location, rooms and pool. I'd recommend it for your next family trip to bali.

We stayed at this villa starting April 27, 2025, with six adults and five children. The pool incident was terrifying: it was deep, with no signs, depth markers, or safety equipment. My six-year-old daughter started drowning while playing. I jumped in to help and began drowning too, then my husband went under when he joined us. Our friends jumped in as well, and we all nearly drowned. One friend managed to pull everyone out. I'm still shaken and have recurring nightmares about it. There were also several unexplained, chilling events. The atmosphere felt heavy, and some of us had a strong sense of being watched. We could only describe it as paranormal, and the villa felt haunted. The property had doors that didn't close properly, no working locks or security, and a dirty, smelly, unhygienic environment. I wouldn't consider it safe for families or anyone with children. We reported everything right away to Booking.com and the owner, but got no apology, refund, or expression of concern. Their response showed no regard for our physical or psychological safety. We are grateful to be alive, but no one else should have to go through this. Avoid this property at all costs.

The owner lives overseas and couldn't be reached. Inside, the kitchen was very dirty, the linens and bedsheets were dirty, and every bedroom was full of mosquitoes. I wouldn't recommend this villa to anyone. I wish I could give it zero stars.

The shared area was pretty nice, and the pool was especially good. The location was good too, and everything was clean. But most of the rooms weren't very attractive. They were somewhat dark and felt dated.
