Villa Umara Seminyak Sun, Sand & Style: 5-min Walk to Beach!

We stayed at Villa Umara on a family trip in March this year, and several problems really affected our stay. The windows were stuck open in many places, and mosquitoes kept biting my son. The shower heads all need replacing, and the bathroom sinks don’t drain. Floorboards near the stairs and in front of the TV on the ground floor are lifting and need to be replaced, which creates a trip hazard. When we arrived, the main umbrella was broken. It took four people to put it up, and sticks had to be put in the holes to keep it standing. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. We’ve stayed in other villas and never had such bad breakfast service. The food was always late and cold, and larger families need better equipment to keep breakfast hot until the time they want to eat. The welcome handover was also very brief; I wish they’d suggested activities. Villa Finder, which advertised the place, was helpful, but the owner wasn’t willing to contact us to discuss the issues.
