We spent two months in the villa and were very happy with it. It was clean, comfortable, and had a kind of magic to it. The location was great too, on a quiet side street, about a 10-minute walk from the ocean and from a busy street with shops, cafes, and restaurants. There’s also a coffee shop just two minutes away. Luh, our manager and cleaner, was kind and friendly, always reachable, and quick to sort out any issues. She also cooks really well.

The villa ruined our holiday. The photos look lovely, but when we arrived the lack of cleanliness was shocking, and we just wanted to leave. There was mould on the bedsheets, long black hairs hanging from the shower head, old food marks all over the fridge, an unswept and unmopped floor, and brown smears on the walls. It hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guests. The hygiene was disgusting, with plenty more problems besides those. Ilu, the “cleaner,” came in without warning while we were staying there, so we had no privacy. I sent the host photos and explained how I felt, but he didn’t care or do anything to make our stay more comfortable. I complained to Airbnb and asked for a partial refund, but nothing came of it. The villa looks beautiful in the pictures, but I’d strongly suggest staying somewhere else. DO NOT STAY AT WONDERLAND VILLA!!!!

The pool and outdoor area are nice, but some of the decor is a bit of a mystery! It’s an interesting, rather strange place. Getting upstairs is a whole other thing, forget it!!!

Handy spot, close to the beach and food stalls. Kayu Aya night bar is easy to get to as well.
