Waringin Home Stay

I spent a week here. It’s budget friendly and well placed in kuta, near the beach, businesses, restaurants, and massage places. The service was good, and the pool was decent and quiet. The rooms were okay, but the bathroom was a mess when showering because the drain clogged and water pooled across the floor. A decent option if you’re looking for a budget stay.

I was traveling alone on a low budget. The bed was comfortable, and from my room I could see the top of a house, some builders working, and the pool. But I wouldn’t stay here again. Kuta felt far from everything, and you had to walk 8m to get food or buy anything. The water at Kuta Beach wasn’t clear enough for swimming. The sheets smelled, and the toilet was dirty, with water getting stuck and hair all over it. Showering was the worst part for me 🥲. It was noisy too, with the new building work making it hard to sleep at night 😢

The owner and staff were really friendly. Our first room had a blocked sink, apparently because people bring sea sand into the bathroom, so we asked to move next door and things were fine after that. They kept cleaning the blocked bathroom, which I appreciated. The pool was pretty clean, and I swam almost every day without getting an infection. Big thanks to the lovely staff.

The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, and the staff have been friendly and helpful. The pool is deep and warm. It’s a bit of a walk to the beach, but you can chat with the locals on the way, they’re very friendly. The beach is long and nice for walking, though not very clean and not much good for swimming. It’s more of a surfers’ beach.
