Beach Villa Balian

Watching the surf break from the upstairs bedroom, balcony, or even the dining table was a pleasure, especially at sunset with a drink in hand. Beach Villa Balian is peaceful, green, and very quiet, with handy direct access to both the beach and river. The villa was clean, in good shape, and had everything we needed. Arsa was a welcoming, helpful host, and there are several nice cafes and restaurants within walking distance. We had a great stay and can’t wait to return.

We planned on four nights in the one bedroom villa and somehow stretched that into ten. It felt magical, a bit like Bali thirty years ago, with a fabulous location and facilities. Arsa was an amazing host and was happy to help with anything. He brought fresh fruit for breakfast, did some shopping, lent us his scooter, and even repaired my husband's broken shoes. We're hoping to come back with a bunch of friends.

Balian's surf breaks are right nearby, and the villa is just steps from the beach, so the location is hard to beat. The grounds are lush and private, and the villa is beautifully looked after, with a real sense of seclusion. Arsa made everything easy, from arranging transport to offering local suggestions and planning activities, often within minutes. His warmth and attentiveness made the stay a pleasure. It's a lovely mix of peaceful downtime and adventure, and I'm already hoping to return.

Balian is beautiful and peaceful, and there's a great yoga class there. We loved the pool, the views, the well-kept gardens, and the outdoor entertaining space at the one bedroom villa where we stayed in July 2024. Arsa was friendly and helpful throughout. My only downside was that I felt it was overpriced.
