Alam Kulkul Boutique Resort

The resort's natural setting and views were beautiful, and my family and I were very happy with our stay. It was my first trip to Bali, and I chose Alam Kulkul Resort. The bedding and tap water could have been better, but I’m grateful to Yuli and Sasya for being so kind right through to the end. We returned to Korea with lovely memories of Bali 😎

The location was great, and we really enjoyed the cocktail party the hotel put on. Ketut, Dayu, and the rest of the staff made us feel welcome, and everyone was so friendly and helpful. We stayed for four nights and were happy with everything. The rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable, and the bathrooms had all the essentials. There are two large pools, with cocktails available from the poolside bar.

Being right across from the beach, with plenty of restaurants and things to do nearby, made the location a real highlight. I had a wonderful six-day stay at Alam Kulkul and would definitely return. My downstairs room had a nice outdoor area at the back and was spacious and comfortable. The bed was great, the air-conditioning was quiet, and there was a fridge and safe. Housekeeping came daily, and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were supplied. The staff were always welcoming. I enjoyed the two pools, and the onsite restaurant's live music each night was pleasant without getting too loud. They also offer activities every day that guests can join.

The location is fantastic, and the staff were friendly and polite, but this stay was pretty awful compared with my last visit, which had been great. Our room smelled strongly of mold, and at times we could hear rats in the walls and ceiling. The beds were comfortable, though the sheets and towels had stains. We asked to move because of the mold and rats, but they wouldn't give us another room. They brought in a perfume dispenser instead. It covered the odor without actually fixing the problems.
