Widia Homestay

The homestay is close to the harbor, with restaurants and cafes easy to find nearby. Check-in and checkout went smoothly, and the staff were kind. The room was clean and smelled nice. The Wi-Fi wasn’t great, but it didn’t bother me much.

The pool sits in the middle of the little houses and gives the place a really pleasant feel. Radya Homestay is spotless and very cute, and the staff were so kind and welcoming. My room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed and a mosquito net around it. I loved the open-air bathroom, too. Breakfast was excellent. I had an amazing stay.

The ride the front desk manager gave me is why I wouldn’t stay here again. He was taking me to another hotel about 14 minutes away according to Google Maps, after this one was full for the night. He had the map on his phone and the route looked obvious, but he still got lost on this small island. On the motorbike, he came within six inches of passing trucks. It was the most dangerous experience I’ve had in a long time. Eventually I got off in frustration, relieved I’d made it through the ride. If you accept money to take someone to another place to stay, you should be able to follow a clear route without putting your passenger in danger. I thought the manager showed very poor judgment. The hotel itself is a fine little place in a busy area, but I found Mushroom Bay prettier and more interesting. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Right on the Main Street, so the location is fantastic. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff were always helpful. Reception can also arrange whatever tours you’re interested in. I had a great stay and would definitely come back.
