Taman Unique Hotel Senggigi by ZUZU

We had booked two nights, but the rooms were too dirty for us to stay the second night, so we left. All three rooms booked for our group had mold in the bathrooms, very dirty curtains, and outside doors that wouldn’t shut fully at the top. There were no nets to keep bugs out at night. The bathrooms were disgusting, and we even saw two cockroaches in one. Parking was not good, and the swimming pool wasn’t available. The hotel also wasn’t on the beach, despite what the booking initially said. I would NOT recommend staying here.

I hate leaving a bad review, but people should know about the air in this place. Reception smelled damp as soon as I walked in. In Room 13, the AC smelled so moldy that I couldn’t leave it running, and I hated breathing the air there. The bathroom was worse. I looked up and saw dust and mold in the vent. They need to sort out the air intakes in that room. Bad air quality is awful.

The room was cozy, and the sheet was crisp, like one at a five-star hotel, though the place is a little worn. There’s a cozy restaurant too. The rooftop pool is okay, but there aren’t places to get out of the sun. You can sleep through the prayers with earplugs, I’d say. If you need to wake up, set an alarm because you might not hear it.

The food was amazing, the service came with a smile, and the prices were so reasonable. You won’t regret trying it. The fried banana dessert was delicious.
