Please have the room cleaned and ready before handing it over. I was assigned room 217, where I found a dead cockroach and dusty windows.

I booked through Agoda for about 150,000 Rupiah for a Sunday night and found the stay fairly comfortable. The place is in the Gajayana area, near the UIN campus and Sardo supermarket in Malang. The lobby was clean, and the receptionist was friendly. My room was on the second floor and had air conditioning, a private bathroom, TV, Wi-Fi, a table and chairs, mirror, wardrobe, hangers, sink, pillows, blanket, power outlet, curtains, and a Qibla direction indicator. Everything worked well. The shower's hot water could use some improvement: it tended to run hot, and turning it down made it a little cooler, but it still didn't reach a moderate temperature. They provided a toothbrush, towel, and bottled water.

It's a quiet, clean hotel with comfortably sized rooms, good for a restful break. Within a minute's walk there's a Madura shop, an affordable supermarket, and stalls selling seblak and fried rice. You can also borrow cutlery if you need it.
