So Boutique Hostel

This was the worst hostel I've stayed at. The toilets were unbelievably filthy, with hair everywhere, dishes in the sinks, and mirrors and taps you could barely touch. The floors were dirty too, and they don't change the sheets. I even saw them being cleaned with a broom. The staff didn't seem to care about guests. Lots of boys were smoking and on their phones all day, and they even used my flip flops.

The location is good and the bed was comfortable, so the place has potential. But it was dirty throughout, including the sinks, toilets, shower, and floors, and the bins hadn't been emptied. Staff were on their phones or computers and made no effort to clean up. I wish I'd read the reviews before booking.

I left my backpack outside this hostel, and one of the guys kept an eye on it so nobody would take it. That was my first experience of the good-hearted people of Malang.

There are some really good food options nearby, but the dorm itself was loud because its doors wouldn't close. The sheets were dirty, the showers were cold, and there was no hand soap.
