Gets Hotel

We had three rooms for three nights, and things seemed perfect at first: huge, clean rooms, working AC, and a nice breakfast. The restaurant allows smoking, which is a shame for kids having breakfast there. The waiters and waitresses also seemed unconcerned when food ran out in the serving dish, and we had to remind them to refill it and the tissues. We understood that the housekeeping team was in a hurry, so the beds weren't made very neatly, but one of my slippers was put under the side table and I went crazy looking for it around the room. Please check the weight of your laundry before sending it in. They charged us for about double what we expected: I had 12 pieces, mostly T-shirts and just one pair of jeans, but was charged for 3.5kg. My sister was charged for 14kg when we thought it was closer to 7kg. We showed them pictures of the dirty clothes we'd taken before handing them over, in case anything was missing. They agreed the pictures were real, but said the clothes had been wet. They were photographed on the bed and table, and we were told those clothes were wet. Really? Be careful and check the details if you send laundry. I hope this doesn't happen to other guests. Management, please review your laundry service SOP. It spoiled our stay. It wasn't about the money, but the way we were treated.

The room looked great and modern, but breakfast wasn't very tasty and the service wasn't the best. We left at 4am and found no customer service or security at all. Also, the hotel's only elevator was broken, so we had to go downstairs for breakfast.

Think twice before booking. If cancellation is still possible, do it. The hotel was undergoing major renovations, but guests weren't told. I spent three horrible nights there and deeply regret booking. On the first day, I found lots of ants in my room and told reception before leaving for my midnight sunrise tour, hoping they'd fix it by the time I returned around noon. That evening, while trying to sleep before the tour, I heard construction noise and very bass-heavy music nearby. When I got back, reception said the ants had been dealt with. They hadn't, but I was exhausted and just wanted to rest. At 1pm, heavy drilling and banging started right above my room. The receptionist hadn't mentioned it or apologized. I asked to move rooms right away, but the noise was still there in the other room, just less intense. The second room was on the ground floor, facing the courtyard pool and beside the staff area. I could hear the laundry trolley rolling back and forth. On the second and third mornings, kids woke me up playing in the pool at 6:30am. It's astonishing that staff didn't enforce pool hours for guests trying to sleep. I got the impression that most staff were just hanging around and pretending to work now and then. Rooms were cleaned throughout the day instead of in any systematic way, with more trolley noise, and on my third day they forgot to clean altogether. I also found pitch-black water in the shower and toilet. After a technician worked on it, the bathroom was a mess. I asked reception to arrange cleaning since the room had been missed that day, but housekeeping only cleaned the bathroom. This was by far my worst hotel stay in a very long time. Management showed absolutely no concern for guests' comfort or wellbeing, and staff seemed indifferent to the hotel's condition. The rooms are quite worn out, though that doesn't justify drilling and banging all day. If you doubt my judgement, watch or listen to the attached videos and look at my other reviews.

For a seminar, there are a couple of meeting rooms, and the internet was fast. The pool was clean and pleasant, and there's a small gym too. It's a good three-star hotel and much cleaner than others in the same price range. Staff were friendly. Breakfast had enough options, though not much for Western tastes: just bread with butter and one jam, and over my three days I never saw eggs, omelettes, or sausages.
