A nice place to stay.

The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the mattress felt supportive for my back. Rooms with balconies also get good airflow. The room was fairly spacious for the price, and the location is convenient. The service was poor. Staff were unfriendly and didn’t offer to help carry our luggage up the stairs to the second floor, despite there being no elevator. We would have welcomed the help and been glad to give a decent tip. I stayed longer, but nobody offered to clean the room. I also had to ask the receptionist for extra mineral water. There was no Wi-Fi in the room, no dental kit, and the TV was unusable because even the local channels had no signal. When I first came in, the soap and tissue were empty. I wondered whether the room had been checked after the previous guest left, or whether anyone had a list of the supplies used.

The place is in a strategic location, which makes its poor condition a shame. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, the TV had no signal, and some bathroom floor tiles were broken and dangerous. With only one or two people looking after the homestay, cleanliness was lacking too. It needs better maintenance to make guests comfortable. Maybe it used to be good, but my first impression fell short and I don’t think I’ll return.
