The stairs could be hard for some people, and outside noise from the location was a bit annoying. Still, the place was recently renovated and extraordinarily clean, with lovely, helpful staff. There’s also a small balcony where you can smoke and watch the world go by. Good value, and I’d stay again.

The rooms come with cutlery, which made eating in-room handy, and there’s a prayer mat as well. Tea, coffee, and other amenities are supplied, and in the morning there’s a decent breakfast snack. The rooms are comfortable and fully equipped, making this one of the most comfortable places to stay in Malang. If you’re driving, check with the manager about parking first. As far as I know, spaces are limited along the roadside. I’d ask for a first-floor room so it’s close to the parking lot.

For the price, there’s a lot to like here. Snacks are provided in the room, and they gave us bread and water in the morning, which was kind. The location is great, the staff are very friendly, and the place is very clean. Our room was number 16. But the poor soundproofing ruined the night. Noise from the hallway came through clearly, especially doors opening and closing, and the long, narrow window facing the corridor let hallway light into the room. I don’t understand why that window is there. We could also hear the next room’s bathroom ventilation, toilet flush, and door so loudly that we woke up scared each time someone went in. We didn’t sleep all night. I’d been thinking of giving five stars, but after that night I’m taking one off.
