The family suite was huge, with two king beds in the bedroom, plus a separate living room and dining area. It had the basics covered, including a smart TV, water heater, water dispenser, fast Wi-Fi, and toiletries, and the bed was really comfortable. I was staying at Alana on a break from a business trip when the staff surprised me with a complimentary upgrade. The location is handy for getting around Malang, and it feels like one of the newer hotel options. Breakfast was the weak spot: by about 7 a.m. it was packed, and the food stations and seating could be laid out better. Still, I had a very enjoyable stay, and the Dewa 19 Lounge on the rooftop was a nice extra.

Breakfast felt like a VIP experience, with staff attentive to dietary details and proud to serve local flavors. We spent four nights here on our honeymoon, in a Junior Suite, and the warmth of the service made it feel more like coming home than checking into a hotel. From an easy check-in to staff anticipating what we might need, the personal touches set the tone. Housekeeping remembered when we preferred the room to be refreshed, and the concierge shared useful local tips. That mix of professionalism and genuine warmth really stood out.

The staff were generous and helpful, and the service was great. I was happy with how clean the room was and with its facilities during my two-day, one-night stay at Alana. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, and it tasted good too. I'd definitely come back to Alana next time I'm in Malang.

The room was fine, and my kids loved the Gnest entertainment unit. Food was tasty with lots of options. The location makes it easy to get around Malang. Parking is limited, and when it's full, security offers valet.

Breakfast is worth making time for, there was plenty of choice and the food was delicious. The rooms are very clean and have complete facilities, including Google Nest smart room controls. For what I paid, the value was a definite 10/10. The location is convenient, near Blimbing station. Staff were super friendly, especially mba shara, tyas FO n team, mas fredy, and mba dian trainee fb. Thanks for upgrading my room! I'll come back.
