We booked through Agoda, and check-in was easy. The Wi-Fi worked well, and they could arrange transport, though it was very expensive. The staff need to improve their English, and the room wasn’t as clean as it should have been. There was also a big hole in the bathroom ceiling. Renting a scooter was a mess: first they quoted 200k, then 80k, and the scooter was wrecked. We waited two hours for a different one. I wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s more of a guesthouse than a hotel.

The place itself is cozy and breezy, and basically okay. But the reception staff, especially the night shift, were so rude and disrespectful. When I asked for a towel or the Wi-Fi ID and password, they kept yelling and shouting. No smile, no polite behavior.

Rooms here are good value, and both breakfast and restaurant food are good. The Wi-Fi can be unreliable. It’s a bit outside town, but you can still walk there in about 30 minutes.

So far, my pick for the best hotel in Maumere. The room had AC, a comfortable bed, and a modern toilet. There’s also a nice variety of food at the restaurant.

Nice place, and you can get a good discount if you have a BPJS card.
