Julian was one of the best surf teachers I’ve had. I took two lessons with him, and he paid close attention and helped me get as much as possible out of each one. The sessions were great, and I feel like my bottom turns improved. I also learned a lot more about surfing in general. The guest house itself was a lovely, relaxed place to stay, and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was enak sekali.

Blue Coco felt comfortable and clean, with a lovely pool and cozy rooms. The AC worked really well, and the friendly staff and other great people around made us feel at home. Breakfast was amazing. I’d recommend it to anyone who asks.

There are plenty of places to eat nearby, with seven dining spots within a five-minute walk. Keremas beach is also about a five-minute walk away. Sanur Port takes around 30-35 minutes by car, Denpasar about an hour, and the international airport roughly 75 minutes. It’s a quiet, laid-back guest house that suits families and solo travellers. The grounds, pool, dining areas, and rooms were tidied every day. Staff were cheerful, friendly, and helpful with questions or requests. A couple of things bothered me: a native bird makes a strange squawking sound at random times in the morning and at night, and the back half of the toilet and shower room has a wire-netting roof.

Keramas is one of Bali’s top surf spots and is on the World Surf League Tour. Blue Coco can arrange surf lessons and has contacts for motorbike rentals, along with other help. The place is quiet, with a pool, private bathrooms, good housekeeping, local food, and staff who are happy to help with whatever you ask. Such a great stay, I’ll definitely come back 😊
