We felt right at home at Manis AE Bromo Hotel, thanks to the attentive, polite and genuinely helpful staff. Every time we said “thank you,” they warmly answered “with pleasure.” That little touch has stayed with me. The scenery was breathtaking and the food was excellent. Their Rawon Iga deserves a special mention, it was the best! We also loved the milk tea and ordered it with every meal. We joined the Lava Tour, which meant getting up at 2:30 in the morning. Staff even went room to room to wake everyone up, above and beyond. Big thanks to Hassa and Rahmatika for looking after us, and to our photographer Hardiansyah and team for their creativity and patience. They made the trip even more memorable. Bromo + manis ae = no cure! If I get the chance and have the means, I’ll definitely choose Manis AE again. Until next time, and highly recommended for a Bromo getaway.
We went to Manis Ae Cabin with friends for the café and mountain views. It’s a very aesthetic place, and the cool, fresh air makes hanging out there even nicer. The food tasted great. Prices are a little on the high side, but lunch with that beautiful view feels worth it. A lovely spot to relax and take in the scenery.
The restaurant is a highlight, with lovely mountain views and a Bromo-like atmosphere. The food is well made and good quality, though the breakfast quality and variety could be better. Staff are friendly and helpful, even carrying luggage to the room. There’s also a jeep tour you can book to visit Bromo’s different sites, and the hotel is close enough to make a good base for visiting them. We had the two-storey family room. It had a nice feel and comfortable beds, though it was quite cramped and could use more space. Some parts of the room were a little dirty, so cleanliness could be improved. A good place to stay in Bromo, with a few things that could make the experience better.
The restaurant gets busy at lunchtime on holidays. We arrived around noon on a Sunday, and there were many customers. Parking is spacious and free, though the toilet is far from the restaurant. There’s a very nice, Instagram-worthy view behind the restaurant. Prices aren’t too high, but the menu selection felt limited for us as foreign visitors.
The Superior Room was spotless, roomy and nicely designed, with a huge balcony looking toward Kejalen Hills and the Terasiring potato farm. Dining was another highlight, with good local and international dishes.
