Prices are high, so it’s better to bring your own water bottle. The only thing you should have to pay for is the 5,000 Rp parking ticket.

The natural arch and circular cove at Broken Beach look almost unreal when you first see them. Water moves through the opening below the cliffs, and the scale and shape of it all made me stop and take it in. Walking around the rim is easy, and each angle gives you a different view of the arch and open ocean. There’s no ticket line or complicated setup, and no real wait, which kept the visit calm even with other people around. It’s not somewhere I’d picnic or spend a long time, but it’s a memorable quick stop with photos I’ll want to keep.
