Had a great time here. The cottages are small and nice, the pool was clean, and the staff were really friendly. Breakfast was good, with coffee, an omelette, and toast. The chickens and geckos get loud in the morning.

The only thing I'd add is a couple more sun loungers, maybe two, and then the place would be perfect. The bungalows are peaceful and quiet, with a big pool to relax beside. The island is fairly large and lovely for unwinding, so I'd suggest staying a few nights. We rented a scooter from the owner for 90k a day. It was in good condition, and the host gave us useful information about the roads and traffic, which gets busy with tour groups from 9-4pm. Breakfast was free and came with eggs, toast, fresh fruit, and a drink. It's well located, a short drive from the port with restaurants nearby. I'd highly recommend it.

The staff were excellent, and they handled our dietary requirements really well. Breakfast was amazing, and we appreciated the restaurant suggestions and help arranging a driver. Make sure to visit AMARTA Penida, about a 15-minute walk away, with beautiful views. We had a lovely, quiet and relaxing time at Kayu Kuning Cottage, and the little cottage was great. We'd recommend it to anyone staying on Nusa Penida.

When something unexpected came up, the owner was kind enough to help us arrange rooms and check in at the last minute. He answered our questions and was very polite throughout.

It was clean and quiet, but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who's afraid of bugs or lizards. There were huge lizards everywhere, the biggest I've ever seen. I hated it and couldn't sleep at all.
