Maskot Penida Cottage

The reception staff member was kind and helpful. We also found the room clean and comfortable, with AC that worked really well. We had a very nice stay and I’d recommend it :)

I liked the setup at the entrances most. There was a table and two chairs outside each room, a nice spot to sit with a snack or beer in the evening, and the clothes rack by the door made it easy to wash and hang clothes every day. We stayed two nights in March 2025, and were the only guests then. There are four cottages in total. We hadn’t booked the cottage ourselves. It came through the Ticket Tour Nusa Penida agent when we arranged a trip to Nusa Penida. Breakfast was included, and the two women who made it served something tasty. The room was spacious and had the necessary furniture. The bathroom roof was see-through, so you could look up at the sky. That was lovely in the sun, though in the rain the drops were very loud. Getting around was the downside. The place is well away from the main street, and you need a car or bike to reach it. It’s not walkable to the main street or a convenience store, so it wasn’t convenient.

The restaurant next door was a handy bonus, with a bigger menu and free use of its pool. The cottages themselves are spacious, clean, and have basic things like a kettle, hair dryer, and bidet. It’s a good base for seeing Nusa Penida or going on snorkeling trips. We spent 3D2N at Mascot Penida Cottage and had a fantastic time. It’s a charming, well-kept little property with just four villas or chalets, run by a lovely and friendly family. Highly recommend it for a comfortable stay on the island 😊

The staff member was friendly, kind, and always willing to help, and the breakfast was delicious. We found the location useful for exploring, since it sits between the west and east sides of Penida and neither direction felt too far. We rented a motorcycle there, which helped a lot. It was a beautiful, quiet place with a large room that was clean and really comfortable. We’d definitely recommend staying here and would come back.
