The Kleep Jungle Resort

It’s a little inland and not near the beach, though they rent scooters for a reasonable price. The rooms are stunning and really spacious, and the pool is great for a swim in the morning or evening. There’s also a simple gym that’s fine if you want to keep fit while away. The hospitality alone would make me recommend the place: they treated me with great respect and made sure all my requests and needs were met. It has pretty much everything for a cozy holiday.

The staff deserve special mention. Everyone was friendly and polite, and our daughter loved playing with the kittens at reception. We spent three nights here with our family and really liked the order, quiet and service. The grounds are beautiful, with a large pool where you can relax after exploring the island. Our bungalow was spacious and had everything we needed. The restaurant served delicious food, especially the tuna salad and fried rice with seafood. There’s a gym on site too. I recommend this hotel.

We spent one night at Kleep Jungle Resort in Nusa Penida and had a comfortable stay. The separate cottage gave us a bit of privacy, and the room was spacious. The in-house restaurant has several dining options, which made meals easy. Staff were very helpful and arranged a scooter rental, plus pick-up and drop-off at the port. Crystal Bay Beach is about 5 km away, so it was fairly accessible for exploring the area. A pleasant option for a short stay.

The way to the room is quite hilly and adventurous, and the quiet streets have parking. The AC room felt luxurious, while the geckos were a reminder that you’re in the jungle. The bathroom was clean and everything was provided, including a toothbrush and paste. Staff were welcoming and flexible, and even brought iced tea to our room after check-in. There’s a gym, restaurant and swimming pool, all open until 10pm, so there’s plenty of time to use them.
