The scale of this complex has changed the entire feel of the beach and surf break, and that ugly pool area makes it worse. This should never have been allowed. When will we learn to fit into the natural environment with some humility and grace? It's a travesty.

It's disgusting that local activists were criminalized for speaking out against beach privatization. Please think again before coming here, since your visit would support neocolonialism.

The huge construction on the beach is overbearing and excessive, and Rote Island doesn't need it. Access to the beach and break at Boa is already restricted because of the joint. This is another awful example of catering to the rich being bad for humanity. Don't they have enough already? Appalling.

We used to enjoy this beach, check the surf, and walk along it. Now security is everywhere, and it's hard to get access to Boa because of Nihi resort and other big developments. It's sad to see such large-scale development in rote, and I know I won't come back. I'm sure the locals aren't happy to see rich developers destroying their island either. This place will ruin tourism for Boa.

The rich owners have put security in place and no longer let tourists or locals access the beach. What a loss. Shame on you, Nihi resort.
