The staff really stood out, warm and friendly, knowledgeable, and with excellent English. The restaurant's room service was very good and reasonably priced. Breakfast had lots of tasty choices, from fruit, toast, and eggs to local dishes. There's a small pool and some workout equipment, and most nights a local duo plays in the restaurant and encourages guests to karaoke. I'll leave my own singing out of it. I spent over a week here on my first visit and changed rooms twice. Both rooms were very clean, with good air conditioning and shower pressure. The Wi-Fi was good, and check-in and the front desk had a high-tech feel. This is an excellent medium-budget hotel that deserves more than its star rating. I thoroughly recommend it and will return. The Ramadan buffet was delicious and fairly priced, and the friendly, helpful staff made it a very pleasant visit. It was well worth it. Recommended, and I'll definitely come back. A job well done, with one very happy customer.

The price is cheap and the location is central in Padang, so there isn't much to complain about. The room was reasonably clean, and despite my dust allergies, they never acted up during my stay. Still, the room was small compared with other hotels, and noise from next door came through constantly. The old air conditioner worked well but was loud. Hot water was lacking, the shower ran rather cold, and basic supplies like cotton buds weren't available. Staff weren't very friendly or quick to meet requests. The buffet had very little variety, especially for Western guests.

The family room is spacious, the location is convenient, the room was neat, and the service was good. On the downside, bathroom supplies were lacking, there was no welcome drink at check-in, and the walls definitely don't block sound. Parking is limited, and delivery services had trouble because of a family of the hotel managers. I'd compare these pros and cons against the price before deciding.
