Grand Basko Hotel

The lobby was spacious, and the staff gave exceptional service. That was the one bright spot. In my room the air felt trapped and stuffy, with a persistent bad smell, and I felt suffocated at night. The bathwater was brown in the morning, which is unacceptable for any hotel, especially one claiming to be high-end. The furniture also looked neglected and needed maintenance.

The room I checked into was messy and smelly, with a dirty towel still on the couch. The extra bed wasn't ready, so I had to wait. They moved me to another room, but the place still felt super old and poorly managed. The chair was clunky and the service just okay, far from what I'd expect of other four-star hotels. Not worth the price, and I'm definitely not coming back.

The location and facilities worked for me: pool, spa, mall access, lounge, and a comfortable bed and linen. The staff and services need better training, though. I complained more than four times across my three rooms, and sometimes the receptionist needed to show some empathy. The hotel admin also needs to do better. I had trouble reaching them by direct phone, and got no response on IG or WhatsApp when trying to confirm my reservation and room. Elite membership through travel platforms didn't seem to work here either. After I complained, a few employees kept gathering and looking at us instead of taking quick action or offering some kind of service recovery. Please improve, thanks.

A nice place to sleep, near the city center, the airport, and the mall.
