The security guard was unfriendly and came across as unethical. We were told to open and close the gate ourselves while he sat there ordering us around in a high-pitched voice.

This place is nice and has good rooftop views, and some of the staff were friendly. But it badly needs good managers. The workers seemed to spend a lot of time chatting. The AC didn’t work properly, and the Wi-Fi kept cutting out during the day. My laundry had been dropped off at reception by the laundromat without me knowing. She told them to pass it to my room, but they never informed me. I waited two days for it, wearing sticky, sweaty shirts to meetings and assuming the laundry lady hadn’t done her job. It was actually the lazy reception guys who failed to tell me.

The view from my room was a solid brick wall, and the hotel is a bit out of the way on back roads, so getting a taxi can be a problem. They provide soap and shampoo, but the water pressure varies. Still, the room was very clean, breakfast was enjoyable, and it’s very cheap. Breakfast was better than what some much more expensive hotels manage. I first rated it four stars, then changed that to five because the stay was better than the price suggested. Reception was friendly and efficient too.

I’ve stayed here twice with my family, once in 2021, if I remember right, and again in early 2023 in the same room. The bedroom and bathroom are huge, and I really liked having a bathtub and hot water. I enjoyed the stay, and my family did too. The bathtub looks pretty retro, though, and I think its curtain needs replacing because it sometimes smells.
