Siantar Hotel Parapat

I spent two nights in rooms 113 and 114, expecting a lovely hotel by Lake Toba. That wasn't what I found. Breakfast was embarrassing, with only fried rice, and there was no working hot water or usable Wi-Fi. The rooms smelled and looked dirty, rubbish had been left scattered on the balcony for a long time, and the damaged plug hadn't been fixed or replaced. The furniture was old and broken too. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless management improves things.

The view was the best part. We could enjoy the peaceful side of Lake Toba by day and at night, and we were lucky to get a room near both the pool and lake. The staff were kind and helpful, and the receptionist gave us useful information. A lot of things didn't work, including the lamps, shower, and bidet, and the faucet leaked. The hotel is old, so things like that happen. Still, we had a good stay and would come back if we get the chance. Thanks!

The location is superb, right beside Lake Toba and within walking distance of water sports. The deluxe room is worth recommending, while the room below deluxe is good value. All rooms have air conditioning. The building is old and needs maintenance, the front desk needs renovation, and parking is a bit tight.

The helpful, friendly staff were a bright spot, and being connected to Indonesia's biggest floating water park, 'Super 9 Water Fun', is a plus if you want to have some fun there. The hotel itself is old and needs more refurbishment.
