We arrived at 2:30 PM and the villa still wasn’t ready. Someone was mopping, and it clearly hadn’t been prepared for guests. I felt reluctant to stay instead of comfortable, which was what I’d hoped for at Villa Damai. The place was dirty, from the floors and sink to both bathrooms, toilets, and buckets. The floors were uncomfortable, and there was a smell of urine, though not animal urine. The showers didn’t work, the water had black sand-like bits in it, and the heater only produced water through a hose without a faucet. The yard was also dirty and neglected. I wouldn’t recommend renting this villa.

A comfortable, roomy stop for a longer trip to North Bandung. There’s plenty of parking and a playground for kids, and enough electricity for live music. Thank God, we had a good time.
