The room is roomier than at competing hotels, and check-in was quick and easy. The price is low for a three-star hotel, so it may work if you’re not looking for luxury and just need somewhere to crash. That said, you get what you pay for. The hotel is supposed to be new, but aside from the design, it doesn’t feel that way: the walls need attention, the hot water didn’t work, and the bathroom smelled a bit. The mattress is fairly hard, so sleep wasn’t great unless you like a firm bed. There isn’t much of interest nearby, and it’s a little outside the city center.

It used to be a great hotel, but now it feels more like a center for disappointment. The sheets are too dirty and need replacing, and the toilet is yellowish and slimy. They also need more cleaning staff.

Cempaka Hill Hotel Jember is lovely and inexpensive, with a clean, tidy, comfortable room, good service, and an indoor pool we could use whenever we wanted. When the AC in our room broke, they moved us to a higher-class room, which was so nice. Thank you! Recommended.

Everything else was okay, but the view from the room window was a downside. I hope management makes the outside view more attractive.

I really liked the gym and swimming pool, and the foodclub serves excellent food. The service was good too, and my room was comfortable.
