Umadewi Surf & Retreat

I only stayed one night, so I didn’t get to make much use of the facilities or try breakfast. What I did experience was all positive: the staff were accommodating and made me feel comfortable, and the room was clean and smelled fresh. The bathroom and toiletries were well maintained too. Umadewi Surf & Resort Jembrana has a relaxed coastal feel and seems like a great place, especially if you’re into surfing.

We’ve stayed in both the double room and the studio at Umadewi Surf & Retreat several times, and keep coming back. Kokos, the hotel restaurant, has served consistently delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner every time we’ve eaten there. The Sensatia shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion smell incredible and feel luxurious. The staff feel like family and go out of their way to make sure guests have a great stay. It’s right on the water with a direct view of the surf spot, so it’s especially convenient for surfing. When we’re not out in the water, we relax by the peaceful pool. There’s an immediate calm as soon as you arrive. The spa is another favorite, especially the amazing massages after a long surf session. The rooms are modern, sleek, and comfortable. It’s a special place, and we’ll definitely be back. We couldn’t recommend it more.

The chefs gave us a great range of dishes, all excellent quality, and the views of surfers and sunsets were incredible. The property is stunningly beautiful, and they fog for mosquitoes, so they weren’t a nuisance even during rainy season. The people here are extraordinary, so kind, helpful, and accommodating. We had food allergies and concerns about Bali Belly, and they stayed on top of both. The whole experience felt like five star. A true gem, and we’re definitely coming back!

We spent a week here with friends and babies and toddlers. There was lots of grassy space and room by the pool for the kids to play, plus a great view of the Medewi point break. I also loved the Balinese massage. Our group stayed across Pool View and Ocean View rooms. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly and very accommodating with the little ones. Nice touches included complimentary beach towels and yoga mats, plus a daily fridge refill of water and Pocari sweat. There were plenty of staff, and it was really easy to send requests over Whatsapp. We’d definitely stay again!
