Bali Dive Resort Amed

After a long break from diving, I did my Open Water refresher at Bali Dive Resort Amed and felt supported and comfortable from start to finish. The whole team was professional, kind, and passionate about diving. They took care to fit and check my gear, which made a big difference to my comfort and confidence underwater. The dive sites were beautiful, and the team pointed out marine life I might otherwise have missed. I enjoyed it so much I extended my stay in Amed to dive with them again. It reminded me why I love diving. Thank you!

We came to Bali Dive Resort for the diving, and the day turned out so well that we wished we’d booked a stay there too. The resort looked gorgeous when we arrived. At the Amed office, the staff were friendly and talked us through the options. Damien joined us about ten minutes later and quickly figured out how to plan things for our different experience levels. My 10-year-old wanted to try Discover Scuba, so Damien took us through pool practice first. That helped my son feel confident before we headed out, and let Damien see what he could do. My husband and teenage son, who both dive, went with dive master Ade. We had a beautiful dive in the coral garden with loads of Moorish Idols, my favourite fish, and my son loved it. After tea, coffee and fried banana during a surface break, we all went to see the USAT Liberty, a very cool WWII wreck just off shore. It was a brilliant first diving experience for my son, and he’s excited to get his PADI cert (JOW) back in Australia. My husband and other son also loved diving with Ade. The pool practice before going into open water really helped me feel confident and relaxed. I’ve just completed my PADI Open Water certificate at Bali Dive Resort, and it’s been one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had. Damien explained everything clearly and patiently, and I always felt safe in his hands. I never got nervous. The team were welcoming and professional from the start, and the dive sites were magical. The location is also handy, close to lots of dive sites. If you’re thinking about learning to dive, add Bali Dive Resort and Damien to your favourites.

The dives at Jemeluk and Tulamben were beautiful, and I had a great time doing my Open Water Diver course at Bali Dive Resort. The whole team were great, especially our instructors Emilie and Damien. They knew their stuff, were kind and fun, and made sure everyone in the group felt comfortable and safe at every step. I’d highly recommend learning or diving with this school!
