A great place to spend a lazy afternoon after swimming or snorkeling, or to take it slow over dinner at sunset. You can sunbathe on the recliners under parasols, and there’s a basket of books in the restaurant if you fancy reading. The restaurant, bar, and accommodation are spacious and right on the shore at Amed beach. The food was amazing too. In my two weeks in Bali so far, I hadn't had better nasi goreng.

I stayed six nights in room s7 on level 1, with a sea view, and really loved my stay. It had everything I needed, including AC, toiletries, and towels. Shops and an ATM are nearby, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I arranged the things I needed at reception, including a boat and snorkeling gear. I'd love to come back.

We've stayed at Soma Soma four times now, and, as the name suggests, not much has changed. The garden feels peaceful despite the bustle on the road, and the price is very reasonable. Rooms are clean and functional, and the food is excellent. The two Mades and Komang are wonderful hosts, always welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The restaurant has the best view in Amed. After breakfast, you can walk 10 metres to the water's edge, then another 5-10 metres offshore to the coral garden. The team can arrange a boat trip to other snorkel spots if you want, though the one right at your doorstep is hard to beat.

The snorkeling was great, with plenty of fish and coral not far from shore, and the location is right on the beach. Our room was clean, comfortable, and good. Breakfast was sufficient, though nothing special, and dinner on our first night was much the same. There are lots of nicer restaurants nearby. Most of the staff were friendly and efficient.

The staff were super friendly, nice, and responsive, and there are lots of shops nearby, though you'll need a scooter to get around. The room was clean and nice. The WiFi wasn't very stable or strong, and the AC wasn't cool enough for me.
