It was a small, nice room right in front of the beach. The mattress and cleanliness were okay, and the food was decent for a fair price. Falling asleep to the waves was lovely. Still, the room wasn’t cheap for its standard, and they charged for extras too. I had never had to pay to borrow snorkel gear at a beach guesthouse in Indonesia, and the water refill cost us nearly as much as buying water at the shop. That’s not what I’m used to in Indonesia, and it’s sad to see how Bali has developed. The bathroom smelled, though I could manage that. In the morning, street motorbikes woke us around 6:30, or the sunlight came in because the curtains weren’t dark enough and didn’t cover the whole window.

We come here every time to eat at the restaurant. The food is so tasty, especially the fish soup, shrimp, and calamari. Having it while listening to and looking out at the sea is the best feeling!

I stayed three nights while taking a free diving course at apneista and had a great time. The family working here were really welcoming and friendly. It’s a good budget place, and the sunrise view gets a 10/10 from me.

The best part was the view, which lives up to the stunning sunrise. The rooms are very basic, but for us the rate was absolutely worthwhile, especially since breakfast was included. We hadn’t booked ahead, yet they found us a room that was clean and tidy. We ate here a couple of times and everything was great.
