I paid through the app for two rooms, but the owner wasn't there and the door was locked. We ended up losing the money for both rooms.

The owner is friendly. One thing to know if you're backpacking or visiting: they no longer work with the OYO app or other booking apps, so it's better to go there directly. Knock at the front door; if nobody answers, try the house behind the inn, beside it.

I paid the full amount, but the guard wouldn't let me in because he said the owner was out of town. I lost all the money I'd paid for the hotel.

The owner is friendly, and getting around in the hardtop vehicle is convenient. The person who drove my sister to Penanjakan wasn't very friendly or talkative, though. I'd suggest asking the owner, or father, to drive you.
