The view is beautiful, and Talaga Sarangan is less than a five-minute walk away. The rooms are very clean, and the hot water works well.

A classic hotel.

I was looking for somewhere a little away from the lake so I could walk, and the quiet, uncrowded atmosphere suited me. The balcony behind the room looks straight out onto the garden, just what I wanted. The hotel is old, sure, but they've made an effort to update it. The bathroom was clean, the toilet was new, and the price was cheap. Great.

The view behind the regular rooms is the best part. I've stayed here twice, and on this second visit the service was better than the first. It's fairly easy to get to since it's near the entrance. I booked by phone, luckily, and rooms were still available. Hope things keep improving.
