I booked through the Agoda app, but at the hotel the guard said they didn’t accept app payments. If that’s the case, why list it in the app? They should just use Google and say payment is due on arrival. They told us the app would pay the old hotel. We ended up not staying, and the money wasn’t returned.

After paying through the Oyo app, I arrived to find they wouldn’t let me stay, saying the place was full. I’d tried to confirm with Oyo since that afternoon and got no reply. Other hotels that are full show “Sold out,” but when I protested, they said the room was actually available but under renovation. They kept making excuses and blaming the app. I messaged the manager, who said, “I was just asked to confirm.” When I asked for details, they blocked my phone number. Hotel game, still get lucky, bro, Genah Rekh!! Why do you guys... Guaplekii...!!

The building felt old and haunted. I arrived in the afternoon to find it locked and closed, even though I’d paid. There was no TV despite it being listed, and the AC remote had been swapped with another room’s and taken by the guard. My room was full of mosquitoes and had no toiletries. In the middle of the night the gate was locked, with no guard around, and I was hungry with no way to go out and find food. The guard also seemed to know nothing, and honestly, some of them smelled like they rarely showered.

After booking and paying, I decided it was better to leave even though the money couldn’t be refunded. The place was gloomy, boring, dirty, and had no receptionist. There were lots of foreigners hanging around, the service was poor, the AC didn’t work, and mosquitoes filled the room. It also didn’t look like the photos or what the Airy Rooms app showed.
