The Lorriz Centro Seroja

The food and price were OK, and the location acceptable, but the room fell short. We needed a family room for four adults and expected two queen beds. Instead, there was one double bed smaller than a queen and a convertible sofa bed that really wasn't enough for two adults. The restroom was cramped too, with the toilet taking up about half the space, so moving around meant bumping into it. Hopefully the non-family rooms are better.

The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, and the bathroom was better than at other budget hotels I've tried, with more space and a hot shower. It's in a remote area, a bit far from places in central Semarang. You can book with or without breakfast. I'd consider it if you just need somewhere to sleep overnight.

The modern building has nice room wallpaper, and there are about 50 rooms. There's no pool, but the restaurant offers a few choices such as fried rice and Indomie, plus hot or iced tea, coffee, fruit juice, and instant tea cups. Families can bring children, and some rooms allow smoking. Room cleanliness needs work, though. During my stay the Wi-Fi was down, so ask whether internet is available if you need it. TQ.
