The view is the one real plus, and at least the bed and sheets were clean and comfortable. Otherwise, this was the worst place we stayed during nearly a month traveling around Indonesia. For what we paid, it was just average for the country, and I'd give it no more than 2/5. We had a shower that barely dribbled until someone fixed it after we checked in. Hot water lasted for one shower, the WiFi was awful, and noise from the road and other guests came straight through the very thin walls. The interior feels completely neglected: no art, a harsh bare bulb, nowhere to hang anything, and one outlet stopped working in the middle of the night. Breakfast was very meager and below average. The drink was water in a box with a straw, with no tea or coffee. They seem to count on the view alone, but they need to put in a lot more effort.

Breakfast was a tasty nasi goreng, and just across the road there's a strawberry field with an amazing mountain view. The view from both levels is lovely, with sunrises you can watch from bed. The upstairs rooms are especially cute, while the ones downstairs are simpler. You can hear a little through the thin walls, but it didn't bother us. We had an amazing stay and I'd happily come back 🥰

The rooms were clean and cozy, and the view is great. It's a nice base for visiting Rinjani, with restaurants and shops close by. Breakfast was nasi goreng and tea. After eating nasi goreng every day as a tourist, it might not be what you want most, but it tasted good.

The staff were extremely nice, and it was an affordable, comfortable place to stay. We had the whole two-room house for three people, with spacious, clean rooms and warm water. I loved the cozy upstairs rooms, especially the wood and all the charm. The bathroom was much older than the rooms and had no sink, though it was fine. The view was lovely and we fell in love with Sembalun. Breakfast was nasi goreng and coffee. You could hear every step downstairs, and conversations downstairs carried up to the second floor, but it was okay.
