John the owner is bloody great :) We stayed here before and after hiking Rinjani, in brand new rooms that were really lovely. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was massive, and the shower was amazing. We had incredible views across the rice terraces to Rinjani, with a particularly great sunrise. The location is really good too, with beautiful waterfalls an easy walk away.

I was travelling solo through Java, Flores, Sumbawa, Lombok and Bali when I stayed here for a few days back in 2018. Everyone looked after me so well. Great company, food, and guides for Rinjani. A wonderful stay.

There isn’t much choice nearby, with few restaurants around and most hotels or inns serving food themselves. We only came here to eat. The waiters were friendly, and the food was cheap and simple. I’d recommend the Nasi Goreng.

The scenery is gorgeous and the people are amazing. Fabulous spot. I’d strongly suggest staying here if you’re in Tetebatu.
