The staff were friendly, and having a cafeteria on site was handy when I didn't feel like going out. The airport is so close that you can watch planes land. My room itself was nice, though the sheets had little spots and cleanliness could be better. I also caught 15 mosquitoes in the room. I’d requested a 10:30 check-in when booking, but my flight was moved up and I got there at 9. They let me in, then mentioned a 10,000 Rupiah charge for each hour before check-in. That was okay, but I wish they’d stated the extra fee when I made the request. For around 150 Rupiah, it was okay overall.

Getting food nearby was easy, and the distance to the airport made this a good-value transit stay. The room was comfortable, the service very good, and the place was kept clean and tidy.

I was very disappointed. The room smelled like cigarettes and had ants all over it. At check-in, the guard said Agoda hadn’t sent the payment to the hotel, so I had to pay again. He also wasn’t there while people were checking in. I was told the price should be 150,000 Rupiah, even though Agoda showed a different amount. I’m sure my first stay cost something other than 150,000 Rupiah, and I was still able to pay through the app then.

The room was dirty and dusty, smelled of cigarettes, had cobwebs, and the bathroom was dirty too. There was no mineral water, tissue, or soap, and staff were never on standby, so finding someone when there was a room problem was difficult. At check-in they also added a charge, saying the price had been adjusted with OYO, but gave me no proof of payment. This was the worst stay I’ve had at OYO 3995 Airport Village Juanda Surabaya. The owner and OYO should follow up on customer reviews.

I’d never come across such a strange place before. It feels more like a boarding house than an OYO. The price on the app didn’t match what I was charged when I arrived, and they blamed a pricing problem. Why use OYO then? The room was clean, the water ran fine, and the AC was cold, but there was no drinking water or bath soap. The caretaker was never around. When I was checking out, I had to go looking for them. Please fix this!
