Homestay Omah Embun

Got a free bicycle, yeayy. It really has those Yogyakarta village vibes.

The surroundings are lovely and feel like a real village, with rice paddies nearby. It’s a bit far from the city center, but well worth it. The building is clean, with exposed brick walls, and has AC, a water heater, TV, a refrigerator, and more.

The views around the homestay are beautiful. In the morning, I could walk around, see the mountains and rice fields, and visit the fish pond. The water was a little green and didn’t seem very clean, so I hope that can be improved. Inside, everything was very clean when we arrived, and the layout was neat, making it comfortable for the family. The brick house has three clean bedrooms, a mini kitchen with a kitchen set, two bathrooms, one at the back, and a mini garden. A broom and mop were provided so we could clean the room ourselves, as well as a slipper rack and room slippers. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. There was a small misunderstanding between the staff and manager, but it was resolved well, and the staff apologized quickly. It’s a comfortable place to stay, even though it’s a bit far from central Yogyakarta.

We stayed here with a large family for Eid al-Fitr. It’s quiet because it’s near the rice fields, but it doesn’t feel spooky. The villa area is kept clean, the bedrooms and bathroom were clean, and the facilities are good. The complete kitchen set includes cutlery. It’s suitable for a large family, and I recommend it for a holiday in Yogyakarta. Maybe they could consider adding a swimming pool 🙏
