Ramada by Wyndham Yogyakarta

The room and price were the positives for me. The price was affordable, 4.5/5, but location was 2/5, cleanliness 3/5, and breakfast 2/5. The hotel is half an hour from Borobudur temple, and far from activities in Jogja. It's also hard to find food nearby. Cleanliness needs to improve, as there was a lot of hair on the floor when I entered the room. I always share reviews that are trusted and objective.

The room floor was still dirty, and we had to ask for it to be cleaned again. Breakfast was also disappointing: by 8:00 AM, many buffet items were empty with no refills. Parking was poorly managed, and check-in took a very long time. We lost several memorable things during our stay. After searching for quite a while, the hotel agreed that these losses happened often. One staff member said losing things there was common. The hotel's response was, “We are sorry, it's been many times happens like this here.” I couldn't accept it, but swallowed it. The things we lost could never be found again. Thank God, two days later they sent me a photo to ask whether the items belonged to me. I said yes, and the hotel said other guests had taken them. If so many incidents happen, the hotel should take preventive steps, perhaps installing CCTV in areas where they occur. Thanks Mr Alan. I changed my rating from one star to three because I think the hotel can still improve on the points above.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and there’s a big swimming pool too. Breakfast has plenty of choices, and parking is roomy. It’s in Sleman, about 30 minutes from Yogya.

The hotel has a lot going for it, with clean rooms, a fitness center, a jogging track, tennis courts, and a fairly large area. But the room design was hard to overlook. We booked a twin room, and the door opened toward the edge of the study table, making it awkward to get inside. The room’s modern greenish look didn’t really fit with the mirror, which seemed straight out of Snow White, and the long lamps were easy to bump into. I hit my head on the ones in the bathroom and beside the bed. The bathroom had railings crowded around the toilet and shower. I understand the need for slip safety, but there seemed to be too many in such a small area. Breakfast was another letdown. I ordered from the group breakfast list, but when I arrived the food was gone and staff didn’t restock it. I was left with vegetables, which isn’t much of a breakfast. At an event I attended there, the food selection was also quite limited. They could offer more kinds of food for different tastes.
