The rooftop pool, fast WiFi, water fountains in the hallways, and lobby convenience store with drinks and snacks made this hotel a slam dunk for me. The shop is a little overpriced, though. I also liked the restaurant. Breakfast and the other food were pretty good. It's not in the middle of the tourist area, but the hotel was new when I stayed in 2016, and the staff were very helpful. They arranged laundry and a checkout five hours late for just a 330k RP charge. I liked the building's all-concrete modern look, though I know it won't be everyone's thing. They also have rooms in other styles, including some with a cozy Swedish feel and others with traditional Japanese floor beds. Shhh, don't tell anyone how cool it is. I'd like to have the place to myself next time I visit Yogyakarta.

A peaceful spot away from traffic, with convenient parking. The staff were helpful in person and over WhatsApp, and the price was affordable. Rooms are spacious and the facilities are complete. I forgot to take a room photo, so I used one from Google, but the room really did look just like it. I'd stay again next time I'm in Jogja.

I always loooooveeee this hotel. The rooms are spacious and each has a different theme, and I love the decor. The staff are friendly, and it's clean too. It's a bit far from the city center, and you can only get there from a one-way street. Breakfast is tasty, though simple and with limited choices. Still enough to get your day started before exploring jogja 😁

From check-in through breakfast and checkout, every staff member was courteous. The breakfast setup was a smart move, kudos to the hotel manager! The industrial design feels timeless to me, and the hotel is well made while still feeling like home. I've had my eye on The Amartya for a year, and it turned out to fit my tastes exactly. I'm glad I stayed there. It's far from everywhere, but if you want a hassle-free place with chic design and good service, this could be a top choice.
